The Homewood Patriots (7-2, 6-0, 1st in 6A) will close out the regular season tonight by traveling to Jasper and taking on the Vikings (5-4, 5-2, 3rd in 5A).

Jasper took their first loss since week three in week 10, falling to Pleasant Grove 14-45. The Vikings are led by 6’3” senior quarterback Spencer Rosenfeld who made his name heard across the state when he ran for a 98-yard touchdown against John Carroll. Jasper is set to take on Moody in the 5A playoffs after their matchup with the Patriots.

The Patriots handled Briarwood in week 10, defeating the Lions 34-10. Quarterback Woods Ray has been phenomenal all season, receiving his first offer earlier this week from Davidson College. The Homewood defense has only allowed 20 points in the previous three games since their bye week; this includes the shutout win they had against Pelham in week nine, which clinched the region title.
