All five seniors for Homewood contributed to the Patriots’ 76-61 victory over Bibb County on senior night.

From the opening tip, it was all Homewood. Carter Vail hit a three to open up the game, as a 16-2 run for the Patriots ensued. By the end of the first quarter, Homewood had a 10-point lead, with seven players contributing to their dominant start.

The second quarter was the same story. Homewood continued to play sharp hoops, moving the ball efficiently and capitalizing off the Choctaws’ turnovers. A plethora of Patriots continued to contribute as Homewood extended their 10-point lead to 22 by halftime. Seniors Cannon Armstead and Carson Cole lead the way by the break with eight points each.

Coming out of halftime, Bibb County made a slight comeback, but Homewood cruised the rest of the half.

The five seniors checked out midway through the fourth quarter, and Bibb County was able to lighten the blowout in the waning minutes of the game. When the final buzzer rang, Homewood improved their record to 19-10.

Homewood will host George Washington Carver in their final regular season game this Thursday.
