Homewood (2-1, 1-0) hosts the Calera Eagles (1-2, 0-1) for the first time in program history tonight at 7 p.m.

The Patriots knocked off Helena 24-15 last week, which was officially confirmed as the largest upset in the state. Offensively, quarterback Woods Ray led the charge, passing for 203 yards and 1 touchdown and rushing for another 104 yards. On defense, a group effort led by senior DB Parker Sansing held the Huskies to only 15 points, 26.5 less than Helena’s season average. Calera dropped their second game out of three, losing to Benjamin-Russell 23-6. Week 3 was Calera’s worst performance of the young season, scoring a season-low and giving up a season-high amount of points.

The Patriots will be full of confidence as they enter tonight’s contest a 5-point favorite.
