The perfect outfit doesn’t have to be a hassle to find. Wednesday Wear is a new segment featuring popular clothing trends and fashion pieces curated by our staff, so you can find statement pieces that you like without going far.

Each update will include a “Highlight of the Week” showcasing student outfits around the school that catch our eye. Be on the lookout for us, and we might feature you and your piece next.
Starting off we have the Sway Arc “Thorns” Bag, which implements an embroidered cyber sigilism design to make an eye-catching 3D pop as well as a vintage, distressed look from the black fabric. The design draws inspiration from the 2010s and the Y2K era, as well as the New York tattoo scene and cyberpunk and hard rock art forms. This bag, though usually $100, is currently on sale for $50.
Another item making waves is the Yankees Crimson Work Jacket made by Artificial Fever. It is a crimson work jacket with the same vintage and distressed look as the Sway Arc bag, featuring heart emoticon symbols. A small leather square with the Artificial Fever logo to resemble the iconic Carhartt and New York Yankees logos, but made with tiny arrows. The arrow design is Artificial Fever’s signature, used as a recurring motif on many of their other pieces. Currently, it is sold out, but will be back in stock soon.

For suggestions in footwear, look no further than the Asyllum Chunky boots. They are made with black, vegan leather as well as a zipper down the side and a buckle holding the top. They are inspired by the Y2K look, but it mostly comes from the early 2000s, with the influence of punk rock culture and Hollywood influences inspiring the use of black leather and the straight black aesthetic.
Our final item is worn by our “Highlight of the Week” subject. If we find someone at the high school wearing something of interest, we will take a picture and provide a link to be able to get it yourself. This week, we have the famed Big Red Boots by MSCHF. They are obviously a big red boot, but they are popular because of their impractical yet recognisable design that is one of the most continuous aesthetics throughout MSCHF’s collection. If you’re looking for other unconventional items, MSCHF sold a reversed shoe where you where it backwards as well as a Fabuloso cologne.
